Project Description

On 9th October, we Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square joyfully celebrated World Cerebral Palsy Day with the amazing children at the Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy (SGCP) in Dhapakhel. The children and staff welcomed us with open hearts and bright smiles, filling the day with warmth and happiness.
Rotaractors from Rotaract Club of Patan Durbar Square and the Spouse Group of the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square also actively participated, contributing to the joy and success of the program.
The celebration beautifully reflected this year’s theme — “Unite with Unique” — reminding us that every individual’s uniqueness brings strength to our community. Children with cerebral palsy performed graceful dances to Nepali songs in colorful traditional attire, while others sang with confidence and joy. Their talents and determination deeply touched us, bringing tears to our eyes and filling our hearts with pride.
It was a day filled with love, laughter, and inspiration — a heartfelt reminder of why we serve and celebrate inclusion through Rotary.
As part of our club’s ongoing commitment to maternal and child health, we continue to support children with cerebral palsy and their families, helping them live with dignity, confidence, and hope.
