2015 Earthquake and Earthquake Resistant Structures in Nepal

Rtn. Jagadiswar M Shrestha from Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square delivered an informative talk program on “2015 Earthquake and Earthquake Resistant Structures in Nepal” at Rotary Club of Bharatpur on 21st May 2026.
During the session, he shared important insights regarding the impact of the 2015 Nepal Earthquake, lessons learned from the disaster, and the importance of earthquake-resistant structures for safer communities in Nepal. The presentation highlighted building safety measures, disaster preparedness, structural planning, and the need for public awareness to reduce future risks.
Club members actively participated in the discussion and exchanged ideas on disaster management, community resilience, and the role of Rotary in promoting awareness and safer infrastructure development in Nepal.
